The School of Humanities Holds 2026 Graduation Gala

The School of Humanities at Shenzhen University staged its 2026 graduation gala, “Setting Sail in the Humanities, Voyaging into Youth,”at the International Conference Hall, Yuehai Campus. Themed around three chapters—Chasing Light, Millennial Waves, and A New Intelligent Journey—the event blended cultural depth with contemporary reflection.

Vice President Li Yonghua congratulated graduates, recalling their time at Liyuan and urging them to integrate personal ideals into China’s modernization drive. He later recited Preface to the Lantingji Xu a poetic tribute.

The Second “Dean’s Undergraduate Teaching Award” honored 12 faculty members for dedication and innovation in teaching. A short AI video highlighted their contributions before awards were presented.

Performances ranged from traditional music and dance to revolutionary-era songs marking the 90th anniversary of the Red Army’s Long March. Students and faculty jointly recited The Long March, underscoring the school’s integration of academic study and patriotic education. An original sci‑fi drama explored emotional value in the algorithmic age, while pop dance showcased youthful dynamism. The evening closed with glowing light boards forming a “starry sea,” symbolizing graduates carrying forward humanistic spirit into the future.
