The first undergraduate history forum organized by the Department of History at Shenzhen University’s School of Humanities took place at the Yuehai Campus on May 30. Aimed at advancing teaching, research, and talent cultivation in history, the event provided a platform for undergraduates from across China to present and exchange ideas.

Opening ceremony guests included Yi Ling, Party Committee Secretary of the School of Humanities; Li Zhenhua, Deputy Director of the Academic Affairs Office; and Li Shizhuo, Student Work Coordinator. More than 40 students from Peking University, Tsinghua University, Fudan University, and other institutions participated.

From over 500 submissions, 46 papers were selected for presentation across three panels covering Ancient Chinese History, Modern and Contemporary Chinese History, and World History. Topics spanned from Qin–Han bamboo slips to modern archival materials, reflecting diverse approaches—ranging from textual analysis to reflections on modern society and cross-cultural dialogue.

Following a full day of discussions and expert review, 12 participants received first, second, and third prizes.
